Job Title:

Git/Gerrit Administrator

1       Purpose:

To provide IS/IT Git/Gerrit services to the development users, so as to efficiently support and accelerate the fast growing software development activities in SECN.

GIT：Git 是用于 Linux 内核开发的版本控制工具

2       Roles & Responsibilities:

•       Implement required tools for software development needs.为软件开发需要执行工具

•       Understand and translate business requirement into applications.将商业需求转化为应用

•       Provide Git/Gerrit trainings to users.为用户提供培训

•       Plan and lead the implementation of R&D software tools and systems.

•       Provide implementation documentations and user guides for applications and systems.

•       Enforce ISIT standards, trouble-shoot and resolve major software development tools problems, suggest and implement improvements.

•       Fulfil other relative tasks assigned by manger in accordance with business needs.

3       Competences

Must:

•       In depth knowledge and experience in the implementation and management of Git/Gerrit and software build environment.

•       Familiar with Git master and slave server administration.

•       Familiar with Ubuntu Linux.

•       Fluent in scripting.

•       Excellent communications skills and IT service experience.

•       Good in English, both verbal and written

•       Be willing to adapt new technology

Advantages if the Git administrator has:

•       Familiar with software development tools such as Perl, Shell, Java.

•       Familiar with ClearCase system.

•       Familiar with Windows 2003 Server system.

•       Clear and crisp communication with confidence.

•       Positive and proactive attitude and ability to work in a global organization with different nationalities/cultures, background and skills.

•       Adaptable to change in a large organization.

•       Demonstrated willingness to cross train and to learn additional technical expertise.

•       Demonstrated interpersonal, collaborative and commitment to operational excellence.
